Sam is an approved consultant-in-training, working under the guidance of approved consultant and trainer, Leslie Pertz. She is able to provide EMDR consultation to anyone seeking certification, and those who have completed their basic training and wish to fine-tune their practice with clients. WHO + WHERE + WHEN?
Licensed therapists who want guidance/support in the use of EMDR, with a fertility/perinatal/women's health specialization, or any psychotherapy topic of interest. @ Powerful Women’s Health, 157 Broad St, Suite 312, Red Bank, NJ, or virtually.
*Investment: $50 for 1-hour individual. $50 for 2-hour group.
INDIVIDUAL GUIDELINES
1. Consultees are expected to come prepared to ask questions about EMDR therapy phases, protocols, AIP model, and/or present case material with specific questions for consultation.
2. Please use the case consultation form (that I will send you) for guidance on presenting cases, and have this form completed prior to the start of the consultation.
3. Do not include any information that will identify the case(s) you are presenting.
4. Consultation is not supervision. Consultation focuses on mastery of standard EMDR therapy and integrating EMDR into your practice. You are responsible for the therapeutic relationship with your clients and competency in the modalities you offer. As a consultant, I do not hold liability for how you practice.
5. Consultants pursuing certification or Approved Consultant status will be asked to sign a Statement of Understanding with additional guidelines and policies.
6. 24-hrs notice is required for cancellation, or you may be charged in full. If you are 15 minutes late to a scheduled consultation session, your time is forfeited and considered a no-show. You may schedule a make up session at your own cost. Once paid, fees are non-refundable, but may be applied to future consultation (up to six months) if cancelled more than 24 hours ahead.
GROUP GUIDELINES

4. If you miss any portion of the scheduled group, you may schedule an individual time to make up the hours as my schedule allows (for an additional fee).
